Throttle Body Assembly: Installation
- Install new base gasket. See Fig 1
. Install throttle body assembly. Tighten mounting bolts to 12 ft. lbs. (16 N.m). Install new "O" rings on fuel line nuts. Install fuel inlet and outlet nuts, and hand tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m). Keep TBI nuts from turning with a backup wrench.
- Reconnect vacuum hoses. Install throttle linkage, and control cables if applicable. Connect wiring to fuel metering components. Ensure accelerator pedal movement is free. With engine off, check full throttle position and return. Turn ignition on and check for fuel leaks. Start engine and recheck for fuel and vacuum leaks.
