Code 41 - Cylinder Select Error (3.1L): Notes

ECM used for this engine can also be used for other engines. Difference is in MEM-CAL. If a Code 41 sets, incorrect MEM-CAL has been installed or MEM-CAL is faulty and must be replaced.

1. Turn ignition off, and clear codes. Start engine, and run it for one minute. If code resets, check for faulty connection due to MEM-CAL not locked in place or incorrectly installed. If code does not recur, code is intermittent. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS.
