DTC 24/34, Fasten Seat Belt Indicator (Circuit Shorted To Ground Or Battery): Testing
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect BCM connector C3. Connect a test light between BCM connector C3 terminal C4 and ground. If test light illuminates, repair short to battery in fasten seat belt indicator control circuit. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Using DVOM, check for short to ground at BCM connector C3 terminal C4. Repair short to ground in fasten seat belt indicator control circuit as necessary. If short to ground is not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect BCM connector C2. Connect a jumper wire between BCM connector C2 terminal "B" and BCM connector C3 terminal C4. If fasten seat belt indicator does not illuminate, repair open in fasten seat belt indicator control circuit. If fasten seat belt indicator illuminates, replace BCM.
