Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the IAC sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the MAF sensor electrical connector.




4. Remove the TP sensor electrical connector.

TP Sensor Screws:

5. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screws.




6. Remove the TP sensor.



INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the TP sensor to the throttle body assembly.
2. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262�, GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.
Tighten
^ TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 Nm (18 in. lb.).
3. Install the TP Sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the AC sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the MAF sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
