Circuit Description

Theft deterrent control module checks memory to see if learn coded key setting is on. If so, theft deterrent control module sets DTC B3031.

DTC B3031 sets when, learn coded key setting is on, theft deterrent control module sets DTC.

When DTC B3031 sets, theft deterrent control module will learn key code. SECURITY indicator will be illuminated for DTC B3031.

Theft deterrent control module clears current status of DTC when it does not see learn coded key setting as On. DTC B3031 will still be retrieved as current until ignition switch is cycled. DTC B3031 will become a history DTC at that time.
