Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the shock module yoke to the lower control arm stud and shock absorber.

  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the shock module yoke to shock absorber pinch bolt and nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shock module yoke to shock absorber pinch bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  5. Install the shock module yoke to lower control arm mounting nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shock module yoke to lower control arm mounting nut to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  6. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
