Control Assembly: Service and Repair

HVAC CONTROL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the center trim panel.





2. Remove the temperature control rod (2) from the rod retainer (1).





3. Remove the screws (3) retaining the HVAC control assembly (2)
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the HVAC control assembly.





5. Disconnect the vacuum hose connectors (3, 4) from the HVAC control assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the vacuum hose connectors (3, 4) to the HVAC control assembly.





2. Install the HVAC control assembly (2) to the instrument panel.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Secure the HVAC control assembly with the screws (3).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 Ib in).

4. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the HVAC control assembly.





5. Install the temperature control rod (2) to the rod retainer (1).
6. Install the center trim panel.
