Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the CIM.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between terminal 2 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for an open or high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
- Reconnect the CIM X2 harness connector. Disconnect the X2 harness connector at the radio.
- Ignition ON, test for a momentary AC voltage between the signal circuit terminal 8 and ground when the OnStar® Call Center button is pressed.
- If AC voltage was not present, test the circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CIM.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
