Installation Procedure

  1. With an assistant, install the liftgate window (2) to the liftgate hinges (8).
  2. Install the spacers (1) and the 4 nuts (3) to the rear window (2).
  3. Install the rear window packings (4) and the retainers (5) to the rear window (2).
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the rear window packings (6) and the rear window strut bolts (1) to the rear window retainers (5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear window strut bolts to 6.0 N.m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the rear liftgate window struts. Refer to Liftgate Window Strut Replacement .

  6. Install the rear window upper outer panel (4) to the rear window (3).
  7. Connect the rear washer hose. Refer to Rear Window Washer Hose Replacement - Pump to Endgate .
  8. Install the 4 nuts (1) to the rear window hinges (5).
  9. Install the 4 bolts (2) to the rear window (3).
  10. Install the rear wiper motor assembly. Refer to Liftgate Wiper Motor Replacement .
  11. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  12. Install the high mount stoplamp cover. Refer to High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement .
  13. Close the liftgate window (3).
