Circuit/System Verification
- Verify that DTC B1517 is current.
- If the DTC is history, refer to Diagnostic Aids .
- Ignition ON. Measure and record the voltage at the battery terminals. Verify that the battery voltage is 11-16 volts. Repeat with the engine running.
- If not within the specified range, refer to Charging System Test .
- Observe the scan tool BCM battery positive voltage parameter. The scan tool data should not differ from the recorded battery voltage by more than 2 volts.
- If not within the specified range, refer to Circuit/System Testing .
