Electronic Brake Control Module Scan Tool Data Parameters

Parameter Operating Conditions Expected Value Definition
Ignition is ON, engine OFF, and vehicle is stationary
Battery Voltage Signal - 12 Volts This displays volts. This is the voltage status of the electronic brake control module (EBCM).
ABS Active - Yes The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays No when not active.

ABS Failed - Yes The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes is displayed if there is an ABS fault.

BPP Signal - Applied The scan tool displays Applied or Released. This is the state of the brake pedal.

Brake Pressure Sensor Input Brake applied 0.5 V The scan tool displays 0-5 Volts. The scan tool displays approximately 0.5 Volts when the ignition is on.
Engine running, brake applied 1.5 V
Delivered Torque Engine OFF 88 The scan tool displays 0-100 percent. The scan tool displays the duty cycle of the Delivered Torque PWM signal. The duty cycle of the signal is used to transmit how much engine torque the ECM is delivering. Normal values are between 10 and 90 percent duty cycle.

Dynamic Rear Proportioning (DRP) Failed - Yes The scan tool displays Yes or No. This is the state of the dynamic rear proportioning (DRP).

RF Wheel Speed Sensor - 0 km/h (0 mph)

LF Inlet Solenoid Commanded - On The scan tool displays On or Off. The scan tool displays Active when the left front inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.

LF Outlet Solenoid Commanded - On The scan tool displays On or Off. The scan tool displays Active when the left front outlet valve solenoid is commanded on.

LF Outlet Valve Feedback - Active The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. Indicates the actual state of the left front outlet valve solenoid.

RF Inlet Solenoid Commanded - On The scan tool displays On or Off. The scan tool displays Active when the right front inlet valve solenoid is commanded on.

Front TCS Priming Solenoid - Active The scan tool will display Active/Inactive. The scan tool displays Active when the Front TCS Priming Solenoid is commanded on.

Rear TCS Isolation Solenoid - Active The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. Indicates if the TCS Isolation Solenoid is operating by holding pressure

Rear TCS Priming Solenoid - Active The scan tool displays Active when the Rear TCS Priming Solenoid is commanded on.

Pump Motor Commanded Voltage - Volts This displays Volts. This is the voltage status of the EBCM pump motor command.
Pump Motor Relay Command State - On The scan tool displays On/Off. This is the commanded state of the relay.

Pump Motor Relay Feedback State - On The scan tool displays On/Off. This is feedback state of the relay, to show actual state.

Lateral Accelerometer Volts The scan tool will display Volts, depending on the lateral movement of the vehicle.
Requested Torque - 99 The scan tool displays 0-100 percent. The scan tool displays the duty cycle of the Requested Torque PWM signal. The duty cycle of the signal is used to transmit how much engine torque the EBCM has requested.
Steering Wheel Position ° The scan tool will display degrees, depending on the position of the steering wheel.
Steering Sensor is Centred Yes The scan tool will display Yes/No, depending on the position of the steering sensor.

TCS Active - Yes The scan tool displays Yes or No. This is the state of the traction control system (TCS).

TCS Failed - Yes The scan tool displays Yes or No. This is the state of the traction control system (TCS).

TCS On/Off Status - On The scan tool displays On/Off. This is requested status.

VSES On/Off Status - On The scan tool displays On/Off. This is requested status.
