Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Torrent and 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the radiator to the vehicle.

  3. Install the condenser to the radiator.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.
  5. Install the bolts to retain the top of the condenser to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Connect the transmission cooler liners to the radiator.

  9. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  10. Install the radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator.

  12. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  13. Install the radiator inlet hose clamp to the radiator.

  15. Install the CRFM bracket to the radiator support.
  16. Install the CRFM brackets bolts to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  17. Install the fan assembly to the radiator.
  18. Install the fan assembly bolts to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  20. Install the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper .
  21. Install the CRFM closeout panel to the condenser.
  22. Install the CRFM closeout panel retainers to the condenser.

  24. Install the battery box air duct.
  25. Install the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Equinox) or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Torrent) .
  26. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill)  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
