Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Applying A Light Coat Of Engine Oil To O-Rings On No. 1 Camshaft Position Sensor

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-rings on the No. 1 camshaft position sensors.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the No. 1 camshaft position sensor with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10N.m (7 lb ft)

  3. Connect the No. 1 camshaft position sensor connector.

  4. Connect the 3 engine wire harness clamps and duty vacuum switching connector.
  5. Inspect for oil leaks.
  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
