Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear floor service hole cover.
  3. Discharge the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .
  4. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
  5. Remove the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly.
  6. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose.
  7. Remove the fuel pump gage retainer.
  8. Remove the fuel suction tube assembly.
  9. Remove the fuel sender gage assembly.

  10. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
    11. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.
  11. Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gage assembly to remove it.
