Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly with hose. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement

  4. Separate the wire harness clamp.

    IMPORTANT: After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.
  6. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
  7. Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
  8. Remove the 3 bolts and the ECM.

  10. Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
