Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Gasket & Intake Manifold

  1. Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the throttle body assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10N.m (7 lb ft)

  3. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses and the throttle body connector.
  4. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose and lock the 2 clamps.

  5. Tighten the hose clamp.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 2.0N.m (18 lb in)

  6. Connect the ventilation hose.

  7. Connect the wire harness clamp and mass air flow meter connector.
  8. Add engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  9. Inspect for a coolant leak.
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  11. Perform initialization.
