Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: View Of Air Cleaner Cap Sub-Assembly & Hose

  4. Remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
  5. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and the 2 wire harness clamps.

  7. Disconnect the ventilation hose and loosen the hose clamp.

  9. Unlock the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.

  11. Disconnect the throttle body connector and the 2 water by-pass hoses.

  13. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and remove the throttle body assembly.

  15. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
