Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new gasket (1) onto the intake manifold.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the throttle body assembly with the 4 bolts (1, 2, 3, 4) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft)

  3. Connect the throttle body hose (1).

  4. Connect the throttle body connector (1).

  5. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses (1, 2).

  6. Install the air cleaner cap with hose.
  7. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose and lock the 3 clamps (2, 3, 4).
  8. Tighten the air cleaner hose clamp (1).

  9. Connect the ventilation hose (1).

  10. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses (1, 3) and the vacuum switching valve connector (2).

  11. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps (2, 3) and the mass air flow meter connector (1).
  12. Add engine coolant. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
  13. Inspect for coolant leak.
  14. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
