Installing Microswitch For Rear Window Release

Lay out electric cable for the rear window release through the rear window.

Information
- Lay out electric cable behind the plastic guide of the rear window release -arrow- .
Lay electric cable around the wiper shaft and connect the electric plug until the plug engages securely.

-B- Insert washers -6- , push in wiper shaft and screw tight using the fastening nuts -5- → Tightening torque: 7.2 Nm (5.5 ftlb.).

-A- Attach cover and press down until the clips engage.
Screw on fastening nut -4- and tighten → Tightening torque: 17 Nm (13 ftlb.).

Activate wiper motor once and drive to end position. Then fit wiper arm -3- and secure with fastening nut -2- → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.).
Information

Before fitting the cap, check the retaining lugs of the cap for damage. The cap must be replaced in the event of damage or if you have any doubts about it.
Fit cover cap -1- and press in until it is felt to engage.
