Programming Control Unit
NOTE:
Voltage drop
- Risk of irreparable damage to control unit
- Risk of damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Coding in the control unit is aborted
- Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming
→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

Follow the instructions on the Tester.
Later versions of the software may display slightly different text or require a slightly different procedure. The instructions you receive from the tester itself take precedence over this description.
- Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on the ignition. [>>] Continue.

If the control unit values cannot be read out, proceed according to the instructions given here.
- Select the vehicle type, choose the Special functions menu, start Vehicle handover and follow the instructions on the Tester.
- Erase All fault memories .
- Using the [>>] key, move from the vehicle type to the list of control modules. Perform the automatic control module search.
- Use the cursor keys to select the Memory seat adjustment control unit and press [>>].
- Select Coding using the cursor keys and press [>>].
- Select the coding required for the vehicle and follow the instructions on the Tester.
- Check the operation of the memory switch, read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
