Installing Control Unit For Steering Wheel Electronics

Information 

If the airbag contact unit setting was changed accidentally, it must be adjusted. To position the airbag contact unit in the central position, press the latch and turn the rotor carefully to the left as far as it will go. Then turn the rotor carefully to the right, approx. 3.5 to 3.75 revolutions, until the latch engages. The arrow marking on the rotor must be positioned between the arrow markings on the contact unit.

  1. Insert guide pins on the steering wheel electronics control unit -3-  into the relevant holes on the steering-column switch -4-  .

  2. Press steering wheel electronics control unit -3-  onto the steering-column switch -4-  until the locking lugs -arrows-  lock securely.

  3. Use the fastening screw -2-  to secure the steering wheel electronics control unit -3-  to the steering-column switch.
    1. 3.1. Connect electric plug connections -1-  to the steering wheel electronics control unit -3-  (-A-  ) until the connectors engage securely -a-  .
