Installing DME Control Unit With Anti-Theft Protection

Plug in the two electric plug connections one after the other and lock them.
Position anti-theft protection bar -2- and screw in three shear bolts -1- until the bolt head shears off.

Fit bracket for DME control unit on the guide pins -1- .

Clip in DME cables at two places -1- .

Information

For left-hand drive vehicles, check that the protection cap is placed back over the connector correctly and prevents water from leaking in.
Fit water drip pan -2- and screw in using the two fastening screws -1- for the DME control unit bracket. → Tightening Torque: 8 Nm (6 ft. lb.)

Move the bonnet out of service position.
