Removing DME Control Unit: Notes

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

  1. Switch off ignition and remove remote control (hand-held transmitter) and control panel.
  2. Unscrew both fastening screws -1-  on the control unit bracket and remove water drip pan -2-  .

    NOTE: Voltage peaks
    • Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit

    Information 

    Left-hand drive vehicles are fitted with a protection cap over the connector. This must be folded upwards before releasing and disconnecting the connector.

  3. Release electric plug connection -1-  (-a-  ) and pull it off -B-  .

  4. Release electric plug connection -2-  (-a-  ) and pull it off -B-  .
  5. Remove DME control unit with bracket by pulling it upwards.
