Coding Hydraulic Unit/Control Unit
Information
Always read the information section. → 453055 REPLACING HYDRAULIC UNIT/CONTROL UNIT
- If the hydraulic unit is replaced, the control unit of the hydraulic unit must be coded and calibrated.
- When replacing the hydraulic unit, there are a number of ways to code the hydraulic unit/control unit.
- Control unit replacement
- Automatic coding using coding rules
- Manual coding of hydraulic unit using coding rules from the >vehicle I-Pass<<
Information
If the hydraulic unit is replaced, the PSM control unit must be coded using the Porsche System Tester. Hydraulic unit and PSM control unit form one unit.
- Control unit replacement
> Control unit overview
> PSM
> Maintenance/repair
> Control unit replacement
Continue from step 2 if the control unit is faulty (electrical fault) and cannot be read out.
- Automatic coding of hydraulic unit
> Control unit overview
> PSM
> Coding/adaptations
> Automatic coding
If faults or discrepancies occur during automatic coding, carry out the >manual coding of the hydraulic unit< (see step 3 below).
- Manual coding of hydraulic unit using coding rules from the >vehicle I-Pass<<
Prepare the vehicle data (coding rules) from the >vehicle I-Pass<.
Carry out the >manual coding of hydraulic unit< using coding rules from the >vehicle I-Pass<.
