Installing DME Control Unit With Anti-Theft Protection

  1. Connect electric plug connections one after the other and lock them.
  2. Position anti-theft protection bar -2-  and tighten shear bolts -1-  until the bolt head shears off.

  3. Fit bracket for DME control unit on the guide pins -1-  .

  4. Clip in DME cables -1-  .

    Clipping in cables for DME control unit 

    Information 

    For left-hand drive vehicles, check that the protection cap is placed back over the connector correctly and prevents water from leaking in.

  5. Insert water drip pan -2-  and tighten fastening screws -1-  . > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

  6. Move the bonnet out of service position.


  1. Plug in the two electric plug connections one after the other and lock them.
  2. Position anti-theft protection bar -2-  and screw in three shear bolts -1-  until the bolt head shears off.

  3. Fit bracket for DME control unit on the guide pins -1-  .

  4. Clip in DME cables at two places -1-  .

    Information

  5. Fit water drip pan -2-  and screw in using the two fastening screws -1-  for the DME control unit bracket. > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

  6. Move the bonnet out of service position.
