Programming Navigation Update On Central Computer

NOTE: Voltage drop 
  • Irreparable damage to control unit 
  • Damage to control unit 
  • Fault entries in the control unit 
  • Control unit programming/coding is aborted 
  • Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming 

    → Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.

    → Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.

    → Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A  to the vehicle battery.

  1. Switch on the ignition.
  2. Check contract period of Map Update service.
  3. Read out the version information on the central computer by selecting Car - System - Software update.
  4. Press Return to go back to the System.
  5. Select the Software Update menu on the control panel.
  6. Select the Load update menu on the control panel.
  7. Insert SD card into the slot (SD 1) in the glove box and confirm this on the control panel.
  8. Navigation Database must now be selected on the control panel.
  9. Select Start to start the update.
  10. The update can take a long time.
  11. When the navigation update is complete, confirm with OK.
  12. Press Return to return to the main menu.
  13. Remove SD card from the SD card slot.
  14. Perform function test on navigation system.
  15. Switch off the ignition.
