Removing Control Unit For Distance Measuring Sensor

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  • → Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

1. Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
2. Disengage trim cover -1  - at the top and sides -arrows a and b-  and pull it up at an angle -arrow c-  .

3. Remove trim cover -1  - from the distance measuring sensor control unit.
   1. 3.1 Release trim cover -1  - at the left and right -arrow a-  and swivel it up.
   2. 3.2 Disengage trim cover -1  - at the upper left and right from the holder -2  - (-arrow b-  ) and remove it.

   Information 

   Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

   • Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
   • Do not remove new part from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation and only at the installation position. 
   • Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 
4. Remove control unit for distance measuring sensor -1  -.
   1. 4.1 Unscrew nuts -2  - and loosen control unit for distance measuring sensor and holder from the bumper reinforcement.
   2. 4.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3  - (-arrow a-  ).
   3. 4.3 Loosen clip -4  - and remove control unit for distance measuring sensor -1  - with holder from the front apron.
