Installing occupant detection control unit

Information 

If occupant detection components (installed for country equipment USA/Canada/Mexico) are replaced, the padding -1-  , occupant detection control unit -2-  and pressure sensor mat -3-  must always be replaced  as a complete unit.

Spare parts  are available together in one repair kit  (comprising padding -1-  , occupant detection control unit -2-  and pressure sensor mat -3-  ).

A mixed installation,  e.g. "old" pressure sensor mat and "new" control unit, is not permitted  .

The occupant detection control unit must not be coded  .

Information 

The electric plug connection for the occupant detection control unit must be inserted straight as otherwise the seal will be damaged.

1. Check that the connector housing seal is installed at the correct position.
2. Connect electric plug connection -2-  to the occupant detection control unit -1-  until it engages securely.

3. Position occupant detection control unit -1-  on the holder.
4. Screw in and tighten screws -2-  .
