Removing occupant detection control unit

Information 

If occupant detection components (installed for country equipment USA/Canada/Mexico) are replaced, the padding -1-  , occupant detection control unit -2-  and pressure sensor mat -3-  must always be replaced  as a complete unit.

Spare parts  are available together in one repair kit  (comprising padding -1-  , occupant detection control unit -2-  and pressure sensor mat -3-  ).

A mixed installation,  e.g. "old" pressure sensor mat and "new" control unit, is not permitted  .

The occupant detection control unit must not be coded  .

  1. Unscrew screws -2-  and remove occupant detection control unit -1-  to the side.

  2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  on the occupant detection control unit -1-  .
  3. Remove occupant detection control unit -1-  .
