Programming Navigation Data Update On Central Computer

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage drop 

• Irreparable damage to control unit 
• Damage to control unit 
• Fault entries in the control unit 
• Control unit programming/coding is aborted 
• Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming 
  1. → Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
  2. → Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
  3. → Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A  to the vehicle battery.

Information 

Different text may be displayed with higher software versions.

1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Insert SD card with current navigation software in the SD card slot in the centre console.

3. Select Set - System - Software update - update on the front display and operator control unit.
4. Start the update with Start. 

   It can take a long time for the data to load.

5. When the navigation update is complete, confirm with OK. 
6. Press Return  to go back to the main menu.
7. Remove SD card from the SD card slot.
8. Perform function test on navigation system.
9. Switch off the ignition.
