- Risk of fire

→ Cancel classification immediately
→ Alert the fire brigade
→ Take steps to deal with the danger from fire/gas leaks
WARNING:
Lithium-ion battery/module in critical state
- Danger of poisoning from emerging gases/fluids
→ If battery/module is in the vehicle: Move vehicle to the quarantine location.
→ If battery/module is not in the vehicle: Place battery in wire mesh crate at quarantine location.
- Complete the test log for classification of lithium-ion module with general information.
- Perform an initial visual assessment as described in the test log.
- 2.1 Work through and document the criteria as described in the test log.
- Perform a thermal assessment as described in the test log.
- 3.1 Perform thermal measurement using > VAS 6886 - Temperature Gauge .
- 3.2 Document the measurement result in the test log.

If fluid is leaking out, electrolyte can be distinguished from normal coolant by its pungent smell.
