Engine Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

Located on the intake manifold, this sensor is used on 1986-87 4-85 (1.4L) engines. It takes the place of and is similar in operation to the coolant temperature sensor. The MT sensor does not come into contact with engine coolant, but rather measures the temperature of the intake manifold outer surface.
