Fuel Pump Relay
- Turn ignition off. Unplug fuel injection ECU connector. Ground ECU harness connector harness terminals No. 21 (Yellow/White wire) and No. 20 (Violet wire). If fuel pump runs, fuel pump relay is okay.
- If fuel pump does not run, remove jumper wires. Remove fuel pump relay. Relay is located behind right kick panel on 900 Series and behind glove compartment on 9000 Series. Check for voltage at relay socket terminal No. 86. See Fig 1
. If no voltage is present on 900 Series, repair Brown/White wire to main relay or go to MAIN RELAY
. If no voltage is present on 9000 Series, repair Green/White wire or check main relay.
- Check for voltage at relay socket terminal No. 30 (Red wire). If no voltage is present, repair Red wire to main battery junction on battery bracket.
- Reinstall relay. Connect DVOM to relay terminal No. 87B and ground. Using a jumper wire, ground terminal No. 85 (Violet wire). Replace relay if DVOM does not indicate battery voltage.
