Diagnostic Tests: Notes

NOTE: To perform diagnostic testing on Trionic T-5 Engine Management System, a TECH 2 scan tool or equivalent, digital volt/ohmmeter (DVOM) with minimum 10 megohm impedance and SST 86 11 857 test light (or equivalent) will be required.
NOTE: For component location information, see REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article.
CAUTION: If ECM replacement is instructed in following test procedures, always ensure ECM harness connector and ground circuits are okay. If either are suspect, repair and repeat testing to confirm ECM malfunction. Ensure DTCs are diagnosed in numerical order, starting with lowest number first.
