Power Circuit

  1. Use DVOM to check for battery voltage at terminal No. 23 (Pink/White wire on 9-3, Red wire on 9-5 Series). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit in wire between ECM and fuse (No. 28 on 9-3, No. 17 on 9-5 Series). See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage between ECM terminal No. 43 (Yellow/Grey wire on 9-3, Blue/Red wire on 9-5 Series) and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit in Blue/Red wire between ECM and fuse located in dashboard fuse block (No. 17 on 9-3, No. 27 on 9-5 Series).
