Adjusting the steering wheel adjustment locking lever

  1. Remove the steering column cowls.

  2. Remove the direction indicator stalk switch.
  3. Work the dust excluder (gaiter) over the steering wheel adjustment lever so that the lever comes out through the same hole as the steering column shaft.

  4. Set the locking lever in the locked position.
  5. Slacken the locking bolt slightly.
  6. Set the locking lever in line with the steering column shaft.
  7. Tighten the locking bolt.
  8. Lift the dust excluder (gaiter) over the steering wheel adjustment lever so that the lever protrudes from its hole in the excluder.

  9. Refit the direction indicator stalk switch.
  10. Fit the steering column cowls.
