To remove
- Remove the steering column assembly see Steering column assembly and put it on a bench.NOTE: The sections of the steering shaft are keyed so that they only fit together in one way.
- Mark the steering shaft with a felt-tip pen on both sides of the steering shaft tube.
- Pull apart the steering column assembly.
- Remove the lock screw.
- Carefully press in the catch and remove the bracket.
- Remove the circlip and the spring washer.
- Dismantle the bearing carrier with bearing.
- Remove the steering wheel angle sensor.
