Circuit/System Verification

  1. NOTE: Correct any engine controls and communication DTCs before diagnosing TCM DTCs.

    DTC P0700 is an informational diagnostic trouble code. If there are no engine controls or communication DTCs, refer to Engine Management And Fuel System, V6 DTC Index for diagnosis of TCM DTCs.

  2. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
