Wipers Run With Wiper Switch Off Test
- Disconnect wiper motor module connector. Check for battery voltage between module connector cavity "C" and column switch connector cavity "B". Voltage should be present with ignition switch in ACC and RUN positions. If voltage is present, go to next step. If no voltage is present, repair open or short in circuit No. 92 (Purple wire).
- Check for battery voltage between module connector cavity "D" and column switch connector cavity "C". Voltage should be present with ignition switch in ACC and RUN positions. If voltage is present, go to next step. If no voltage is present, repair open or short in circuit No. 96 (Brown wire).
- Perform wiper switch resistance checks. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH RESISTANCE table. If resistance checks are okay, check for opens at pins "A", "B" and "C" on column switch connector and repair as needed. If problem is still not corrected, install new wiper switch and verify that wipers operate normally.
