Removal (1.9L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument panel upper trim panel outer cover fillers by lifting up at clip locations, starting at rear, above end cap. Remove instrument panel upper trim panel retaining bolt caps and retaining screws. Lift up on instrument panel upper trim panel and pull rearward, being careful not to damage VIN plate.
  2. Remove instrument panel upper trim pad sound insulator. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. Loosen PCM attachment at cross-car beam. Lift PCM upward toward windshield, to disengage from bracket.
