Strut Assembly: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove brake hose and ABS harness from strut assembly (if equipped). Loosen knuckle-to-strut fasteners, but do not remove. See Figure.
  2. Keep ball stud from turning, and remove stabilizer bar link-to-strut nut. Move stabilizer bar link toward rear of vehicle. Remove strut assembly-to-body nut. Remove knuckle-to-strut fasteners. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
