Control Cable: Installation

  1. Guide control cable through pass-through hole in dash panel. Secure control cable grommet by pressing cable into pass-through hole in dash panel. See Figure.
  2. Route control cable through cable bracket on powertrain mount, and secure cable into bracket. Install control cable retaining clip. See Figure. Connect control cable end to control assembly lever.
  3. Connect control cable to pin on control assembly. Secure control cable into control assembly by pushing into place. Install control cable retaining clip. See Figure.
  4. Install console. See CONSOLE . Adjust control cable assembly. See CONTROL CABLE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Enable SIR system. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
