Control Cable: Removal
- Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. Remove console. See CONSOLE .
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect control cable from control assembly. Remove control cable retaining clip. Depress tabs on control cable and remove cable from control assembly. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect control cable from transaxle range switch lever. Remove control cable retaining clip. See Fig 2.
- Depress 2 tabs on control cable and remove cable from control cable bracket. Remove control cable grommet from dash panel. See Fig 3. Remove control cable from control cable bracket.
