Park/Neutral Position Switch: Installation

Install switch-to-transaxle and install switch-to-case bolts. Do not tighten bolts at this time. Install control lever-to-manual shift shaft. Prevent manual shift shaft from rotating by holding control lever while installing retaining nut. Tighten transaxle control lever-to-manual detent shaft nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install cable to control lever and adjust shift cable. See SHIFT CABLE under ADJUSTMENTS. Before tightening transaxle range switch-to-case bolts, adjust transaxle range switch. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH under ADJUSTMENTS.
