Camshaft Position Sensor (3.5L & 4.0L)
Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor signal, when combined with the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal, enables PCM to determine exactly which cylinder is on a firing stroke. This allows PCM to properly synchronize the ignition system, fuel injectors and knock control. The CMP sensor has a power, ground and signal circuit. The power and ground circuits are supplied by the PCM and are also connected to the CKP sensor. Sensor is located on front of the right cylinder head.
