Diagnostic Aids

To locate an intermittent problem, use scan tool to monitor EGR SOLENOID - OPEN or EGR SOLENOID - HIGH VOLT test with ignition on, engine off. When a fault (open or short to voltage) exists, scan tool will display TEST FAIL for both tests.

Tests will fail only when device is being commanded off and voltage at PCM is high.

EGR solenoid resistance should be 7-11 ohms.
