Electronic Brake And Traction Control Module (Control Module And Valve Assembly) (EBTCM): Installation

  1. Position ABS control assembly into bracket and tighten nuts to 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs). See Figure .
  2. Connect control module electrical connector. See Figure .
  3. Position brake pipes into valve assembly and tighten brake pipe nuts to 18 N.m (13 ft-lbs). See Figure .
  4. Install TCM and bracket assembly, if equipped.
  5. Connect negative battery cable. Tighten battery terminal bolts to 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs). See Figure .
  6. Install battery cover. Tighten screws to 2 N.m (18 in-lbs).
  7. Fill brake fluid reservoir to "MAX" mark on reservoir with clean brake fluid.
    NOTE: A Scan tool is NOT required to bleed this brake system.
  8. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  9. Reprogram radio presets.
  10. Perform throttle body relearn procedure.
