Removal (3.0L)

Record preset radio stations. Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove upper intake manifold runner for whichever bank the Electronic Ignition (EI) module is being replaced. See AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS  . Disconnect EI module harness connector. Remove EI module housing bolts and remove EI module with gasket. See Figure .
