Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: O-rings must be oiled with clean engine oil and installed into the fuel rail before the fuel pressure regulator is installed.
  1. Install a small, oiled O-ring into the fuel rail.
  2. Install the large, oiled O-ring into the fuel rail.
  3. Install the fuel pressure regulator into the fuel rail.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the retaining bolts. Tighten:  Tighten the fuel pressure regulator bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  5. Connect the vacuum line.
  6. Energize the fuel system.
  7. Run the vehicle and inspect for leaks.
