Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Saturn L300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the wiper motor to the transmission.
  2. If the wiper module bushings were replaced, install the rubber grommet first, then the steel bushing.
  3. Install the wiper motor to the plenum area.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the wiper motor bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  5. Connect electrical connector to wiper motor.
  6. Install the rear hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Hood Rear in Body Front End.
  7. Install air inlet grill. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  8. Install wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
  9. Inspect the wiper/washer system for proper operation.
